Lake Nyasa (where I spent many wonderful times) is the most beautiful fresh water lake of intense blue, measuring 365 miles long and 52 miles wide (days and weeks of the year) and full of tropical fish found no-where else on the planet. Although amazingly at the Blue Planet Aquarium on the Wirral where they have a Lake Malawi special collection of these cichlids tropical fish.

The painting for me represents that wonderful feeling of diving into cool fresh blue water and suddenly there is silence and calm and overwhelming experience of total release and weightlessness. I hope 'Nyasa' Lake of Stars imbues a sense of well-being.
